General Proprieties
Due to its excellent resistance to creep and due to its high resistance to fatigue at temperatures up to 815 °C as well as the very good resistance to oxidation, Alloy 80A (UNS N07080) is used for components such as blades, rings and washers in gas turbines. Additional applications are connecting elements, exhaust valves in combustion engines and other highly stressed components which are used in the aforementioned temperature range, such as brackets for boiler inserts in castings or high temperature springs. This alloy is also know as Nimonic® 80A. Alloy 80A is available at CHUN & VOLLERIN in these formats: Bars.
