General Proprieties
The 321 steel (UNS S32100) is titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel with good general corrosion resistance. It has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 427 - 816°C. The alloy resists oxidation to 816°C and has higher creep and stress rupture properties than 304 and 304L steels. It also possesses good low temperature toughness.
The 321 steel is mainly used in aerospace, chemical processing, expansion joints, food processing, petroleum refining, waste treatment and parmaceutical production. 321 steel is available at CHUN & VOLLERIN in the following format: Bars.
